Keenan Kresl-Hotz received the Best Presentation Award at the American Nuclear Society Annual Student Conference held in Albuquerque earlier this month. The paper, titled “CFD Analyses of the Flow Mixing and Stratification in Pool Types SFR,” earned the award in the thermal hydraulics track.

Kresl-Hotz worked with Nuclear Engineering Professor Mohamed El-Genk and Research Associate Professor Timothy Schriener of the University of New Mexico Institute for Space and Nuclear Power Studies.

This was the first year UNM’s ANS chapter hosted the ANS Student Conference.
